Hypóstila is an iconic shelving that offers several possibilities. It is constructed using extruded aluminium sections and the various elements are joined together using pieces that work on the principle of expansion. There are no holes, so the shelves can be put in any position. It was designed in 1979 by Lluis Clotet and Oscar Tusquets for BD to support important amounts of weights on minimum profiles, reaching an infinity of lengths and planifications. It is constructed using extruded aluminium profiles where varius elements are joined together using pieces that work on the principle of expansion. The shelves can be put in any position. The Hypostila shelving is Golden and Opinion Delta Award 1980 winner.
